Sep. 17, 2011 Pobst and Povoledo Win Pirelli World Challenge Poles For Volo; Brown Inches Closer to GTS Championship
Paul Brown, from Covina, Calif., took a step toward clinching the Pirelli World Challenge GTS Drivers’ Championship with 15 bonus points for the class pole on Saturday morning at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca during qualifying for Sunday’s Round 11 race. Randy Pobst, from Gainesville, Ga., earned the overall and GT class pole and Aaron Povoledo, from Toronto, earned the Touring Car pole for Volvo in preparation for the Cadillac Sports Car Grand Prix Presented by Grassroots Motorsports.
