Pobst, Cunningham and Herbert Top Mazda Raceway Practice Two
As the track warmed for the second practice Thursday at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, the all-wheel-drive Volvo S60s shined in GT and topped the session in preparation for Friday’s Cadillac Sports Car Grand Prix, the fourth stop of the 2012 Pirelli World Challenge Championships.

Pilgrim, Cunningham and Lamb Top Practice One at Mazda Raceway


Andy Pilgrim, of Boca Raton, Fla., topped the first of two Pirelli World Challenge practice sessions Thursday at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca Thursday in preparation for Friday’s Cadillac Sports Car Grand Prix. Peter Cunningham, of Milwaukee, Wis., and Todd Lamb, of Atlanta, Ga., topped the GTS and Touring Car fields, respectively.

Pirelli World Challenge Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca Race Streamed Live Online This Friday

WC Vision announced today that this Friday's Pirelli World Challenge Championships race from Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca will be streamed live online at www.world-challengeTV.com. GT, GTS and Touring Car drivers will take to the track at 12:10 pm Pacific, 3:10 pm Eastern this coming Friday, May 11.

Herbert, Marie Win Pirelli World Challenge Touring Car/Touring Car-B From Miller
Redeeming a hard luck weekend with a run from the rear of the field to the checkered flag, Tristan Herbert, of Reston, Va., took an overall and Touring Car class win on Sunday at Miller Motorsports Park at the Privacy Star Utah Grand Prix Presented by Bondurant. Sage Marie, of Huntington Beach, Calif., grabbed the third Touring Car-B race of the weekend.

Long Wins Pirelli World Challenge GT at Utah, Lee Swipes GTS Win In Spectacular Finish
Patrick Long, of Belleaire, Fla., checked out for the Pirelli World Challenge GT win at the Privacy Star Grand Prix Presented by Bondurant, but the real fireworks came in a GTS finish that allowed Andy Lee, of Colorado Springs, Colo., to take his first series win.

Jan Heylen Earns Pirelli World Challenge Touring Car Top Spot; Capaldi Gets First B-Spec Pole
In a last moment of pseudo-calm before a hectic three races in two days at Miller Motorsports Park, Jan Heylen grabbed the Pirelli World Challenge Touring Car pole while Craig Capaldi took the first Touring Car-B pole for B-Spec cars in series history.

Patrick Long Takes Pirelli World Challenge GT Pole; Cunningham Extends Career Record
Patrick Long, of Belleaire, Fla., grabbed the Pirelli World Challenge pole in the GT class on Friday at Miller Motorsports Park with a flying lap late in the session to start the Privacy Star Utah Grand Prix Presented by Bondurant from the lead position. Peter Cunningham, of Milwaukee, Wis., extended his series career best pole record to 47 with the top time in the GTS class.

Pilgrim, Cunningham Top Pirelli World Challenge Practice Two On Friday

Andy Pilgrim, of Boca Raton, Fla., topped the Pirelli World Challenge GT class afternoon practice on Friday at Miller Motorsports Park, while Peter Cunningham, of Milwaukee, Wis., topped the GTS field in the combined session. The two classes will qualify later Friday afternoon for Saturday’s Privacy Star Utah Grand Prix Presented by Bondurant.

Long Tops Pirelli World Challenge GT Practice At Miller; Braun Bests GTS Class
Patrick Long, of Belleaire, Fla., missed the Pirelli World Challenge race at Miller Motorsports Park a season ago on his way to the Drivers’ Championship because of the prior commitment. One year later, Long is in the seat for his only scheduled GT race this season, filling in for Lawson Aschenbach.

Heylan Tops World Challenge Touring Car; Ford Leads First Ever Touring Car-B Session In Honda

Jan Heylen, now living in Clearwater, Fla., used his international racing experience to top the opening Pirelli World Challenge Touring Car and Touring Car-B combined practice on Thursday at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah. Connor Ford, of Carson City, Nev., topped the first ever Touring Car-B session in Pirelli World Challenge competition, driving a Honda Fit B-Spec machine in preparation for this weekend’s Privacy Star Utah Grand Prix Presented by Bondurant.

Mazda2 B-spec Professional Racing Debut This Weekend. Mazda2 to Compete in Pirelli World Challenge Championship
When MAZDASPEED Motorsports teamed up with Honda Performance Development in late 2010 to announce the concept of “B-Spec” racing, the primary focus was on club racing.  Since then, three different sanctioning bodies have developed entry-level pro classes for the cars.  Two of those classes will be making their debuts this weekend, one in Utah, the other in Florida.

Touring Car-B Debuts on Action Packed Weekend At Miller
For the first time, Touring Car-B makes its appearance in Pirelli World Challenge, and the introduction adds an exciting element to the weekend. GT and GTS will run a stand-alone single race on Saturday, but the Touring Car/TCB field gets a twist. The grid for race one will be set during Friday’s qualifying, and the cars will be re-gridded for Race Two based on finishing order following a short 10-minute break. Sunday’s race will be set based on fast laps during Race Two – adding another element of intrigue to the competition. What strategies will prevail? That’s what each team is trying to figure out.
