Wittmer Leads Opening SPEED Touring Car Practice In Utah
Montreal’s Kuno Wittmer paced the opening practice for this weekend’s SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge Touring Car Championship Round Three race, part of the Larry H Miller Dealerships Utah Grand Prix presented by the Grand and Little America Hotels at Miller Motorsports Park. Rookie Jason Saini, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Charles Espenlaub, of Lutz, Fla., completed the top three.

Defending SPEED TC Champ Altenburg, TriPoint Split After Six Years
Defending SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge Touring Car Champion Jeff Altenburg has vacated the No. 1 Mazdaspeed/Stoptech/Racinghart MAZDA6 for the remainder of the season. Beginning with Round Three at Miller Motorsports Park this weekend, the car will be re-badged as No. 75 and will be driven by Jim Daniels.

Wittmer Holds off Thomas for Maiden SPEED Touring Car Win in Virginia
Canadian Kuno Wittmer watched the competition fall off the course in front of him and held off the attacks of others to record his maiden win in SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge Touring Car competition today at VIRginia International Raceway—the fifth-closest finish in series history. Teammates Seth Thomas, of Cumming, Ga., and James Clay, of nearby Blacksburg completed the top three.

Herr Wins SPEED Touring Car Pole at VIR with Record Lap
Chip Herr, f Lititz, Pa., will start Saturday's SCCA Pro Racing SPEED Touring Car Round Two race from pole at VIRginia International Raceway during the Bosch Engineering 250 weekend after setting a new qualifying lap record. Charles Espenlaub, of Lutz, Fla., will start second, making it an all-Mazda front row.

Galati Tops Second SPEED Touring Car Practice; Kleinubing Still Fastest Heading into Qualifying
Michael Galati, of Olmstead, Ohio, led the second practice session for Round Two of the SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge Touring Car Championship during the Bosch Engineering 250 weekend at VIRginia International Raceway. Galati was still one second off of Pierre Kleinubing's morning practice time.

Kleinubing Flies in SPEED Touring Car Practice at VIR
Six years after the series' last visit to VIRginia International Raceway, Pierre Kleinubing, of Coconut Creek, Fla., clocked a practice time more than six seconds faster than the previous race lap record. Peter Cunningham, of Milwaukee, Wis., and Kuno Wittmer, of Montreal, Que., were second and third fastest, respectively, in practice for Saturday"s Round Two of the SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge Touring Car Championship, part of the Bosch Engineering 250 Weekend at VIR.

Davis Takes First SPEED GT Win on Home Turf
In front of ecstatic friends and family, Huntington Beach driver Brandon Davis took his first SCCA SPEED GT win at his home race, the SCCA Pro Racing Long Beach SPEED GT Presented by Applied Computer Solutions. Point leader Randy Pobst, of Gainesville, Ga., and Andy Pilgrim, of Boca Raton, Fla., finished second and third, respectively.

Brandon Davis on Hometown Pole for Long Beach SPEED GT
Brandon Davis, of Huntington Beach, Calif., will start from pole in front of his family and friends for the SCCA Pro Racing Long Beach SPEED GT Presented by Applied Computer Solutions race this afternoon. Reigning SCCA SPEED GT Champion Randy Pobst, of Gainesville, Ga., will start second.

Pilgrim Still Tops in Long Beach SPEED GT Practice
Andy Pilgrim, of Boca Raton, Fla., improved on his Friday practice time to lead Saturday's second round of practice for Sunday"s SCCA Pro Racing Long Beach SPEED GT Presented by Applied Computer Solutions race. Local ace Mike Davis, of Huntington Beach, Calif., was second on the combined practice results, followed by last year’s race winner Eric Curran, of East Hampton, Mass.

Drissi on IR After Long Beach Practice Crash
Tomy Drissi, of Hollywood, Calif., will be out the remainder of the SCCA Pro Racing Long Beach SPEED GT Presented by Applied Computer Solutions weekend, and possibly longer, after sustaining a fractured lower vertebrae in a practice crash on Friday.

Pilgrim Tops Shortened Long Beach SPEED GT Practice
Andy Pilgrim, of Boca Raton, Fla., topped the Friday practice for Sunday's SCCA Pro Racing Long Beach SPEED GT Presented by Applied Computer Solutions race. Randy Pobst, of Gainesville, Ga., and Brandon Davis, from nearby Huntington Beach, Calif., followed Pilgrim on the time sheets in the session, which was abbreviated by two red flags.
