Wittmer Leads Opening SPEED Touring Car Practice In Utah
Montreal’s Kuno Wittmer paced the opening practice for this weekend’s SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge Touring Car Championship Round Three race, part of the Larry H Miller Dealerships Utah Grand Prix presented by the Grand and Little America Hotels at Miller Motorsports Park. Defending SPEED TC Champ Altenburg, TriPoint Split After Six Years
Defending SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge Touring Car Champion Jeff Altenburg has vacated the No. 1 Mazdaspeed/Stoptech/Racinghart MAZDA6 for the remainder of the season. Wittmer Holds off Thomas for Maiden SPEED Touring Car Win in Virginia
Canadian Kuno Wittmer watched the competition fall off the course in front of him and held off the attacks of others to record his maiden win in SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge Touring Car competition today at VIRginia International Raceway—the fifth-closest finish in series history. Kleinubing Flies in SPEED Touring Car Practice at VIR
Six years after the series' last visit to VIRginia International Raceway, Pierre Kleinubing, of Coconut Creek, Fla., clocked a practice time more than six seconds faster than the previous race lap record.
