10 Rounds Set for 2009 World Challenge; Watkins Glen Added
WC Vision and SCCA Pro Racing have announced that the SPEED World Challenge Championships will join the Indy Racing League at Watkins Glen International, July 3 – 5, for the Fifth Annual Camping World Grand Prix at The Glen. The addition gives both the SPEED Touring Car and SPEED GT classes 10 rounds apiece for 2009.

WC Vision LLC, the marketing and licensing rights holder for the SCCA Pro Racing World Challenge Championships, has appointed Scott Bove Vice President of Partnership Relations. Bove joins Dave Drimmie, Vice President of Marketing and Communications.

2009 SCCA Pro Racing Rulebook Now Available Online
The latest edition of the 2009 SCCA Pro Racing Rulebook, containing regulations for SCCA World Challenge, SCCA Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup and Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup, is now available on the SCCA Pro Racing Web site.

World Challenge Begins 2009 at Sebring, Ends at Mazda Raceway
WC Vision and SCCA Pro Racing have released more than half of the planned 2009 SCCA SPEED World Challenge Championships schedule. The 2009 season will return to many familiar fan favorites and is framed by a season opener at Sebring International Raceway and finale at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

Davis Wins SPEED GT At Atlanta, Pobst Is Champion
Brandon Davis, of Huntington Beach, Calif., got the holeshot from his second starting position and never wavered en route to his second SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge GT Championship win at the SPEED GT Finale Presented by Foametix®, part of the Petit Le Mans Powered by the Totally New MAZDA6 at Road Atlanta. Tommy Milner, of Leesburg, Va., and Andy Pilgrim, of Boca Raton, Fla., completed the podium. Randy Pobst, of nearby Gainesville, Ga., clinched his second-consecutive Drivers' Championship.

Herr Wins Road Atlanta, Cunningham Takes SPEED TC Championship Thriller
While Chip Herr, of Lititz, Pa., led every lap of the SCCA Pro Racing SPEED Touring Car Finale Presented by Toyo Tires®, the focus of the race was glued on third through fifth place, where the battle for the 2008 SPEED Touring Car Drivers' Championship was unfolding. Michael Galati, of Olmsted, Ohio, and Pierre Kleinubing, of Coconut Creek, Fla., completed the podium at Road Atlanta, site of the Petit Le Mans Presented by the Totally New MAZDA6. Battling with his teammate all the way to the finish, Peter Cunningham, of Milwaukee, Wis., crossed the finish line in fourth, to take his fifth World Challenge Championship.

Milner Gives Aston Martin First SPEED GT Pole in Atlanta
Tommy Milner, of Leesburg, Va., captured his first-career SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge GT Championship pole position and the first for Aston Martin in preparation for Friday's Road Atlanta SPEED GT Finale Presented by Foametix®, part of the Petit Le Mans Presented by the Totally-New MAZDA6. Jason Saini, of Fort Worth, Texas, led the afternoon practice session for the SCCA SPEED Touring Car Finale Presented by Toyo Tires® and set the fastest practice time of the day at Road Atlanta, site of the 11th Annual Petite Le Mans Presented by the All New MAZDA6. Jim Daniels, of Germantown, Tenn., and Michael Galati, of Olmsted, Ohio, were second and third fastest, respectively.

Tommy Milner, of Leesburg, Va., led an official SPEED World Challenge session for the first time by topping morning practice for the SCCA Pro Racing SPEED GT Finale Presented by Foametix, part of the 11th Annual Petit Le Mans Presented by the All New MAZDA6 at Road Atlanta. Current Championship point leader Randy Pobst, of Gainesville, Ga., was second fastest, followed by Jason Daskalos, of Albuquerque, N.M.
