Hometown Boy, Dane Moxlow, Finishes 10th and 7th in Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix Double-Header

Detroit, MI -  Local business owner and Grosse Ile native, Dane Moxlow, piloted the #48 Eaton Steel/Trenton Forging/Detroit Motion Co. Mustang Boss 302s in the Pirelli World Challenge GTS Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix on June 2nd and 3rd. Moxlow qualified twelfth for the double-header weekend in the face of the threat of rain.  Despite only driving six laps under the green flag because of multiple wrecks on track, the #48 Mustang placed twelfth on Saturday. Sunday’s race provided even more excitement with the majority of the laps taking place under the green flag.  Moving up from his qualifying position of twelfth to sixth place Moxlow dropped back to seventh when his tire life ran short.

Moxlow says, “It was such an awesome experience racing at Belle Isle.  It has been a dream of mine for years to race through the Motor City.  Now that it has been crossed off of my bucket list I just need to win it!  Huge thanks to Eaton Steel and Trenton Forging for allowing me the opportunity to race in front of them, their guests, and my friends and family, ultimately with a result that the team should be pretty proud of, all things considered.”

He adds, “We had huge improvements in the car setup from Laguna.  My confidence in the Boss 302 went through the roof this weekend, and I cannot wait to get back into the car at Mosport International.  We should have a competitive car and are hoping that Tiger Racing can regain it's winning stature in Canada.”

Moxlow and his team would like to thank Fox 2 News, Channel 4 News, Channel 7 News, the Detroit Grand Prix group, and his local sponsors for their support during the week’s events.  His next appearances on track will be June 23rd and 24th at the Mosport International Raceway Doubleheader Weekend.  Follow Dane on Twitter: @DMoxlow and follow along on his website at www.danemoxlow.com this season.
